Italy tightens COVID-19 rules

Teachers, educators and students in Italy must be vaccinated, tested or cured of COVID-19 in the future, Reuters reported.

In the new school year, which begins in September, they must submit a document to be able to teach in person, said Health Minister Roberto Speranza.

Starting in September, the so-called green passport, which certifies various types of necessary medical certificates, can be used for long-distance travel by train and bus, on ferries and on planes.

The government has decided that if teachers do not provide evidence, they will be fired.

Recently, there has been a slight increase in new cases of coronavirus in Italy.

To date, anyone who wants to dine in a restaurant, visit a museum, visit a swimming pool or spa treatments, had to have a test, be vaccinated because they are cured of COVID-19. This also applies to indoor cultural and sporting events, as well as gyms. The requirement applies to persons over 12 years.

Visitors must be required to present a document at the entrance, otherwise fines may be imposed.

To get a green passport, it is enough to have the first dose of the vaccine.
