The Czech authorities have announced that all persons who have not been vaccinated or have not been cured of COVID-19 coming from Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Andorra and San Marino will be subject to stricter entry rules as the countries have been placed. in the red category.
This decision to move the above countries to the red category was made according to the latest data provided by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), and will take effect on 16 August.
With the exception of the recently added countries, the red category already includes Ireland, Estonia, Iceland, France, the Netherlands, Malta, Greece, the Canary Islands and Portugal.
Thus, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, all persons arriving from a country classified in the Czech Republic must complete the arrival form and be tested for COVID-19 before entering, if they used public transport to get to the country.
In addition, when entering the Czech Republic, everyone must be quarantined and re-examined after the fifth day of isolation.
However, it was noted that the testing and self-isolation requirements apply only to those who have not been vaccinated and to those who have not been cured of COVID-19.
“Conditions for testing and self-isolation after return do not apply to persons who have at least 14 days after full vaccination (14 days after the second dose in the case of a two-dose regimen, 14 days after vaccination in the case of a single vaccination). All they need to do is fill in the arrival form,” the ministry stressed.
The same ministry has announced that Bulgaria, Slovenia, Austria, Liechtenstein, Norway and Madeira will fall into the orange category, which already includes Italy, Finland and Switzerland.
This means that all people who have not been vaccinated or cured of the virus must complete the arrival form and be tested for COVID-19 within five days of entry.
“When returning from green and orange countries, you must fill out the arrival form. Before entering the territory of the Czech Republic or no later than five days after entry, it is necessary to pass a test for antigen or OT-PCR”, – added in the ministry.
