Chinese firms are not currently ready to supply aircraft parts to Russian airlines. Valery Kudinov, Head of the Airworthiness Maintenance Department of Rosaviatsia, told reporters about this during the MRO Russia & CIS conference.
According to him, at the moment the authorities are looking for the possibility of acquiring spare parts for foreign aircraft in the fleets of Russian carriers from partners from other countries. Turkey and India are among them.
The official of the Federal Agency also specified that some airlines have decided to return part of the fleet to foreign lessors. Now they are determining which ships will be given to the lessors. Nevertheless, many carriers have already begun to transfer aircraft to the Russian registry.
