Brazilian aircraft manufacturing holding Embraer leaves the Russian market. The reason for this decision was the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. This was reported on Thursday by CNN Brasil.
“Embraer is closely monitoring the development of the situation, complies and will continue to comply with international sanctions imposed on Russia,” the company’s management said in a statement.
In particular, Embraer will stop the supply of spare parts and maintenance of aircraft owned by Russian airlines. In this regard, S7 Airlines may face the greatest difficulties. The carrier’s fleet includes 17 Embraer 170 aircraft.
It should be noted that earlier such decisions were announced by Boeing and Airbus, as well as CFM International, which supplies aircraft engines for these aircraft manufacturers. Thus, hundreds of aircraft operated by Russian airlines fall under the sanctions.
According to experts, this situation may lead to a shortage of spare parts for aircraft in the Russian aviation market.
