One of the participants in the morning group swim was attacked by a shark. The incident occurred near the beach in the city of Beachport in Australia, ABC News reports.
According to the publication, the shark attacked the woman twice: first, she bit her leg and then attacked again. The victim was left with a deep laceration at the site of the bite.
Other swimmers helped her get out of the water, who, together with nearby workers, urgently provided her with first aid until paramedics arrived.
The victim was hospitalized with wounds on her thigh and a cut on her arm. She is now in the hospital, and her condition is assessed as stable.
