The US military is preparing for new possible attacks ahead of the end of the evacuation from Afghanistan; “The threat is real and active,” said Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.
“We act on the basis that we must be prepared for future potential threats … The threat is still real, active and in many cases specific. And we take it very seriously and we will do so until the very end, “Kirby said during a briefing.
