На этой неделе начнут действовать новые правила пересечения границы Украины

This week, the Ukrainian government will introduce stricter entry rules for its citizens and foreigners who have not received a single dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Additional restrictions may apply to people in this category. Mykhailo Radutskyi, a deputy from the Servant of the People party and chairman of the parliamentary health care committee, announced this on Facebook today, TASS reports.

To minimize the risk of spreading viral mutations, Ukrainians and foreigners will be tested when entering the country. Exceptions will be made for citizens of Ukraine who have at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and for residents of other countries who have vaccination certificates. However, quarantine will be mandatory for citizens who come from Russia and India if they have been in those countries for more than 7 days and have not been vaccinated with WHO-approved vaccines.

«Eventually, Ukraine will be forced to impose restrictions on unvaccinated citizens, and if the epidemic situation worsens, only schools with at least 80 percent of the teaching staff will work,» — he said. Currently, only half of teachers in the country are immunized.

According to Radutsky, such restrictions should also be imposed on workers in transport, catering and other industries in which workers are in contact with the public.

Since February, when Ukraine started vaccinating the population, 3,599,169 people have been vaccinated in the country, and 2,033,616 have received two doses. Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca, CoronaVac and Moderna are used. The number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic is 2,252,785.
