Police in England have offered a reward for information about a runaway man and received a response from a lawbreaker.
According to the Daily Mail, police in the British county of Sussex are looking for 32-year-old Curtis Harrison.
“Wanted for Harrison by Sussex Police posted on their official Facebook page, with a photo of the fugitive and details on how to contact the authorities with any information about the whereabouts of the violator. The announcement said that the perpetrator violated the conditions of parole,” – writes the publication.
They offered 500 pounds sterling for information and received a response.
One user with a photo of Harrison on his avatar replied to the police: “I will gladly take this 500 pounds”, and then added: “Pay me 500 pounds, and I will turn myself in.”
Another social media user reacted: “Curtis Harrison, I’ll make a deal with you. Tell me where you are and I’ll give you £500, I promise.”
Curtis responded with humor: “No, you have pictures of cats in your profile.”
Later, all messages on behalf of the wanted man were deleted, and one of the commentators of the original publication wrote: “When he is finally caught, give him another 10 years.”
