More than 75 per cent of the UK population is fully vaccinated against coronavirus; 89 percent received the first dose. This was reported by Sky News with reference to the country’s authorities.
Researchers at the University of Cambridge estimate that timely vaccination has prevented about 60,000 deaths, 22 million infections and about 67,000 hospitalizations. 86.7 million vaccinations were performed.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson called it “a huge national achievement that we should all be proud of.”
