Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi entered the Guinness Book of Records for the largest display of messages in bottles, Breaking Travel News reports.
To register the record, the organizers, inspired by the famous Parisian bridge Pont des Arts, invited guests to a festive event, where they invited them to write a short message about Saadiyat Island.
Participants could also share their personal thoughts about love in the note. In the end, 1,100 bottles were collected from Saadiyat Beach, each containing a unique message.
A week later, the bottled messages were delivered to a beach club, where a local artist created an installation called “I ♥ Saadiyat.”
All materials used in this promotion were environmentally friendly. The bottles, recyclable paper and jute thread used to secure the notes were sustainable, highlighting the island’s dedication to preserving the natural environment and local fauna.
