A passenger on an Air Canada flight to Dubai independently opened the plane door and fell onto the ramp at Toronto-Pearson International Airport. He was injured and taken to the hospital, CityNews reports.
The man boarded the Boeing 777-300ER as usual, but instead of taking his seat, he walked to the opposite end of the plane, opened the door, and “walked out” onto the platform, falling from a height of about six meters.
It is not known how seriously the man was injured.
A flight carrying 319 passengers from Toronto to Dubai was delayed for almost six hours and took off the next day. Air Canada said it has initiated an investigation into the incident.
