In Dubai, the tallest ferris wheel in the world, Ain Dubai, was closed for repairs at least until the end of this summer. The date of its opening will be announced later.
The Ain Dubai Ferris Wheel on Bluewaters Island is a new addition to Dubai’s world record list. This gigantic wheel has no equal in the whole world: its height is 250 meters. From the top points, there is a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and the restaurants, shopping centers and residences located below.
Ain Dubai has officially opened on October 21, 2021 with 48 passenger cabins capable of accommodating more than 1,750 visitors simultaneously, both day and night. It caters to families, romantic couples, and special events and parties such as Dinner in the Sky.
An entertainment complex is located at the base of the attraction, and a huge LED screen is installed on the wheel itself. The air-conditioned cabins offer views of the whole of Dubai, its artificial islands and the Persian Gulf. Ain Dubai makes a complete revolution in 38 minutes, two revolutions in 76 minutes.
Some cabins are equipped with bars (Ain Dubai Sky Bar), others can celebrate birthdays, engagements, weddings and other important events. The rental price starts from 130 dirhams.
The United Arab Emirates has previously announced the dates for the first five-day holiday in 2022 for public and private sector workers. Presumably, the first long weekend in honor of the religious holiday of Eid al Fitr will last from May 1 to May 4, 2022.
