Chataporn Sriphonla, 49, from Thailand, regained consciousness on her way to her own funeral, reports the Daily Mail.
The woman was being treated in the hospital for liver cancer, and doctors warned her family that the patient’s chances of survival were extremely slim. Then her mother Mali decided to take her daughter home so that she could spend the last minutes of her life with her loved ones.
“On the day that Chataporn was transported home from the hospital, the doctors pronounced her dead, deciding that she had stopped breathing. Mali, who accompanied her daughter, immediately called her relatives to report the tragedy, and also asked them to prepare a farewell ceremony in the temple and subsequent cremation,” – tells the details of the unusual history of the publication.
The hospital van turned around and took passengers to the temple, where, according to Buddhist tradition, the body of the deceased should lie for one night. On the way, the relatives coordinated the preparation of the farewell ceremony – a coffin and flowers were promptly brought to the shrine.
Much to the surprise of the eyewitnesses, the “dead” woman suddenly woke up and opened her eyes.
Mali was taken aback by her daughter’s miraculous “resurrection” and began calling the family again, this time overjoyed, sharing the good news.
The patient was again taken to the hospital, where she is still under the supervision of doctors.
Relatives of the “resurrected” admitted that they were confused by this incident, but believe that Chataporn held on because she wanted to see her children before she died.
