Teenagers are increasingly seeking to avoid family vacations, and one of the main reasons for this choice is the behavior and actions of their fathers during the holidays. This issue was raised in a study conducted by easyJet Holidays and described in the pages of Sun.
According to the study, more than half of the nearly 1,000 teens surveyed while on vacation with their families admitted that they were ashamed of their fathers’ behavior during the holidays. In numbers, this was 54%, and even 24% of them expressed a desire to avoid such a vacation in the future. The vast majority, namely 43%, also confirmed that they had to deal with embarrassing situations while on vacation.
What are the unworthy deeds of the fathers?
The options are many: inappropriate jokes, ridiculous behavior on the dance floor, snoring by the pool, as well as clothing that is inappropriate for age, such as tight bottoms and a combination of socks with sandals. Also on the list of teenagers’ complaints are too active use of selfie sticks and constant photographing, including themselves. It’s funny how even the typical “misdemeanors” during the holidays, such as excessive gluttony at the buffet or “fighting for sunbeds” in the early morning, cause shame in teenagers.
However, it is worth noting that this study was commissioned by a company that offers “Daddy’s Club” services at a hotel on the Costa del Sol. This dad club promises to create a “safe environment where you can learn frisbees, dance without muscle stress and make up modern jokes.”
