A tourist robbed a shop in the resort province of Krabi in Thailand, she took off her clothes from a mannequin and disappeared. The crime was caught on a CCTV camera – the police are looking for an unknown woman who fled the scene on a motorcycle.
The incident was reported by The Thaiger portal, accompanied the information with a recording from an outdoor surveillance camera.
The publication writes that the owner of the women’s clothing store reported the fact of the theft to law enforcement agencies.
“On a day off, a decent-looking tourist came into her store, undressed the mannequin on her own, and took things with her without paying for them. The owner did not immediately notice the loss, so the thief had enough time to pull off his scam,” writes a Thai source.
After reviewing the recording from the surveillance camera, the hostess realized that the tourist had rushed off with stolen goods on a motorcycle.
The owner does not understand what the meaning of this crime is, since the stolen items are not of great value: their total price is only about 100 baht.
Even with the small amount of damage caused, the irate shopkeeper demands that the police find the suspect and punish her to “discourage other tourists from such behavior.”
