In Japan, a collision occurred between a Korean Air Lines A330 and a Cathay Pacific Boeing 777 while moving in reverse, AviationSource News reports.
According to an airline spokesman, at New Chitos Airport in Sapporo, while reversing, a Korean Air Lines Airbus A330-300 operating flight KE766 hit a parked Cathay Pacific Boeing 777. The incident occurred on Tuesday, the 16th, on the northern island of Hokkaido.
While moving, the left wingtip of the Korean aircraft collided with the horizontal stabilizer of a parked Boeing 777. Boeing Cathay Pacific was scheduled to operate scheduled flight CX583 from Sapporo to Hong Kong, but the collision damaged both aircraft.

It is known that no one was injured among the approximately 289 passengers on board the Korean airliner. The Cathay Pacific Boeing 777 was empty at the time of the collision. Korean Air Lines released a brief statement on its social media.
“Regarding KE766 at New Chitose Airport. A Korean Air aircraft collided with a Cathay aircraft while reversing. There were no injuries and the airline is cooperating with all relevant authorities,” the airline said.
