Hotels in Turkey have announced how long they will extend their summer tourist season this fall. Yes, they are again counting on a successful tourist season, which should last until the end of November or until December. And mainly thanks to reservations made by tourists from Germany, Great Britain, and the Benelux countries. Kaan Cavaloglu, president of the Mediterranean Tourism Association of Hoteliers and Operators (AKTOB), stated this in the Turkish media.
“I think the climatic conditions will allow the season to be extended. This is especially shown by bookings from Germany, Great Britain, and the Benelux countries,” Kavaoglu said.
However, hotels can wait for a decent load until the new year – at this time, for example, tourists from Poland prefer to come, which is a growing market for Turkey, and Poles prefer Antalya in winter.
Dincher Sarikaya, president of the Association of Tourist Hoteliers and Operators of Kemer (KETOB), confirmed his assessment. Moreover, he noted that September may turn out to be the month with the highest occupancy of hotels – at the moment it is about 98%.
