On the eve of the opening of the state for the entry of foreign tourist groups, the Japanese authorities approved a set of rules that travelers and travel organizers will have to follow. This was announced on Tuesday, June 7, by the country’s Tourism Department.
In particular, masks will be mandatory for tourists in Japan, as will the need to use personal protective equipment against COVID-19 when visiting public places. In addition, it is only possible to cross the border with special medical insurance that covers the treatment of coronavirus.
At the same time, tour operators will be able to sell tours to Japan only to those customers who officially confirm their agreement to comply with the rules for visiting the country. If a traveler violates one of the points during the trip, he will be deported.
When organizing excursions, host companies need to monitor the seating of tourists on buses, and in restaurants, travelers should be at the maximum distance from local residents. Finally, when visiting attractions, guides should not allow crowds in one space.
If during the trip the tourist shows signs of COVID-19, then he and all contact members of the group will be isolated.
Note that the government does not provide for any penalties for violating these rules. However, guests of the country should remember that the trip may end ahead of schedule if the prescribed norms are ignored.
