The rules of entry to Turkey have been simplified for tourists. We are talking about updating and simplifying the “coronavirus” rules. Tourists are no longer required to obtain an HES code on the website of the Ministry of Health of the Republic to board a plane or check into a hotel – experts from the Association of Tour Operators reminded.
However, a number of “cunning” requirements for entry into Turkey still remain. Sources in Turkey may say that the next stage of easing the restrictions will take place on May 1 (there are rumors that the tests may be canceled altogether).
As a result, a foreign passport and one of the four “cow security” documents are enough for tourists to enter Turkey. This is either a certificate of vaccination, or a certificate of the patient, or a PCR test passed not earlier than 72 hours, or an antigen test passed not earlier than 48 hours.
It will be recalled that Ukrainians have a visa-free regime, and everyone, including children and infants, needs a valid passport. Check: the validity of the passport must expire no earlier than 120 days from the date of entry into Turkey.
LEADERSHIP RESTRICTIONS WITHIN TURKEY: REMAINING
In April 2022, there was little left in Turkey of the former co-restrictions. From the main:
PCR tests, antigen tests or vaccination certificates (and HES codes) are no longer required for domestic travel by public transport and air travel. You do not need any of this to check into the hotel, as well as visit any public places, including shopping malls. Admission is free everywhere, just like before the pandemic.
The requirement to wear masks remained only for medical institutions, educational institutions and public transport (including airplanes, but Turkey is already hoping for a quick abolition of masks here).
Hotels are also gradually lifting restrictions, in a number of facilities the usual buffet, without closed glass windows, returned glassware and more. It is expected that from May 1, they can officially lift almost all restrictions on hotels, leaving essentially only intensive cleaning, disinfection, etc.
