When you’re vacationing at a resort, you shouldn’t relax too much. After all, this is how you can lose much more money than you planned to spend during your vacation.
This is precisely what happened to a group of tourists from Italy when they visited a beach bar on the Greek island of Mykonos. The Italians chose “DK Oyster” in a place called Platis Gialos.
At first glance, everything looked like the perfect place to have a few drinks in the company. However, as evidenced by the feedback of these tourists on the travel portal TripAdvisor, the Italians soon regretted the choice they had made.
We drank 3 orange juices, and one Aperol Spritz and ate a medium portion of calamari and shrimp. And in the end, I had to pay 711 euros!!!”, the review reads.
The post’s author notes that no one warned them about such high prices. “They are the biggest swindlers and thieves in Mykonos. If I had time, I would have called the police, but we had to return to the ship. They need to be shut down!!!!” the tourist is outraged.
It is noteworthy that this is far from the only similar feedback about this institution.
“Terrible, horrible business! They lure you in with ‘free sunbeds’ and then charge you ridiculously high prices! Mykonos is expensive but nothing compared to this place, even places in town don’t charge as much as they do. Fortunately, our hotel told us not to go here, but we saw many people from our hotel goofing off again and again,” writes a British tourist.
“Don’t let the overly friendly manager and the ‘free sunbeds’ fool you! One beer cost 65 euros. ONE BEER. They just kept bringing drinks and every time we asked the price they said wait, I’ll be back. When we asked for a menu, they didn’t want to show it,” notes another vacationer.
