The beaches of Antalya (Turkey) were filled with tourists who had a unique opportunity to swim in the sea in January and sunbathe on the warm sand.
Abnormally warm weather has set in at the main Turkish resort, replacing heavy rains and storms. The air temperature over the weekend rose to +18°C, and the water – up to +16°C.
Employees of city utilities restored the beach infrastructure damaged by the storm.
Tourists note an interesting weather contrast: the Taurus mountain range near the coast of Antalya is covered with snow, which looks unusual against the backdrop of busy beaches.
