Who among us is not tired of the usual work from 9 to 18:0 and the eternally bad weather outside the window? 30-year-old programmer Dylana Evans and 33-year-old dental therapist Adriana de Pertis, tired of the cold, rainy climate of the UK, decided to completely change their lives and become world travel bloggers, reports the Daily Mail.
Young people have been saving money for a common dream for 2 years. They had to sell all their things. As a result, having saved up 32 thousand pounds, they started vlogging in 2020. The guys independently learned video shooting and editing, opened a YouTube channel, and set off together to explore the world and share their adventures with the audience. Now the young couple has more than 300 thousand subscribers on the Youtube channel.
Dylan and Adriana admit that they now “have to work harder than ever before, but their incomes have increased many times over.”
“Routine work from morning to evening is not for us. Adriana and I remember our last working day as if it were yesterday. Such a huge mountain fell off our shoulders, we experienced incredible relief and from that moment we realized that from now on we are our bosses”, – shares Dylan Evans.
At first, friends and family did not share their views, but now they are subscribers to the video blog and follow with interest the adventures of young people around the world.
“There’s a very common stereotype that YouTubers just sip cocktails on the beach all day… but we’ve never worked that hard in our lives. We often work over 10 hours a day, constantly in the process of filming, editing, or posting. Right at the beginning we did not receive any money from our Internet activity. Now, of course, we earn big money doing what we love: exploring the world, sharing emotions,” they say.
If we talk about the disadvantages of this lifestyle, then the main one, according to travelers, is being away from family and friends.
“Sometimes we don’t see them for more than a year. It’s tough, but we are working on allowing ourselves to fly home more often. I also have type 1 diabetes, and this is an additional obstacle for me. I need to monitor my insulin levels all the time especially when traveling to countries with hot climates. And I also need to make sure that I have a sufficient supply of my medicines. Fortunately, my family always helps and supports me. My brother sends me insulin by mail when I run out of supplies,” says Dylan.
For those who live their dreams and want to make traveling the world their job, nothing is impossible, the couple says.
“Everyone can make money on YouTube. With a lot of hard work and dedication, you can build a massive subscriber base. Who wouldn’t want to have over 100,000 friends traveling with them all over the world?” Dylan summed it up.
