Antalya has the most beaches in Turkey that have received “blue flags”. There are 229 of them on the Antalya coast, and 18 of them were included in the list for the first time. Antalya is followed by Mugla with 111 beaches and Izmir with 66 beaches.
Also in the top 10 by the number of beaches with a “blue flag” included the provinces of Aydin (36), Balikesir (31), Samsun (13), Canakkale (12), Mersin (11), Izmit (7) and Bartin (3).

Two provinces of Turkey have lost their “blue flags” this year. These are Yalova (last year there was one beach) and Tekirdag (there were 6 beaches).
