The world’s tallest Ferris wheel without spokes will appear in the capital of South Korea, Seoul. The futuristic structure is promised to be built by 2028.
The project of the new wheel was developed by UNStudio, the technology was called Seul Twin Eye.
The wheel will consist of two huge intersecting rings with capsule cabins for passengers. From its highest point, there will be an expansive view of the entire city.
The height of the Ferris wheel is 220 m, diameter is 180 m. Each of the 64 capsules can accommodate up to 25 passengers. The cabins will move due to the caterpillar mechanism; the entire wheel, as is usually the case, will not rotate.
Construction is scheduled to start in 2025 and be completed in 2028. Currently, the world’s tallest Ferris wheel is the Dubai Eye (210 m).
