In the Portuguese city of Anadia, two tanks burst at the Destilaria Levira winery. As a result, a spill of wine occurred, which gushed out, splashed out beyond the territory of the plant and flooded several streets of the city.
The incident happened yesterday, September 10. Why the tanks burst has not yet been established. Of these, 2.2 million liters of wine leaked. Eyewitnesses captured footage of the alcoholic flood.
The city authorities fear that liters of wine will end up in the Sertima River and then the situation can be regarded as an environmental disaster. However, so far a natural disaster has most likely been avoided, the government noted. Spilled alcohol has already been removed from city streets, and factory workers have cleaned up damaged city facilities.

Funds for cleaning the streets of Anadia were allocated by the company at whose enterprise the accident occurred. So far, the economic damage caused to the city and the plant has not been calculated, but the serious expenses of the company due to the accident are worrying the authorities.
