According to the TRT channel, the resort province of Antalya in Turkey was attacked last night by heavy rain. Streets and first floors of buildings were flooded, and bridges were destroyed.
In Finike, heavy rainfall caused flooding. Bridges were destroyed in Kumluca, where local authorities urged residents not to go outside unless necessary and canceled local schools’ classes.
As the mayor’s office said, there has not been such a downpour for 50 years, “fortunately, there are no victims or injured, but the situation is dire.”
The Department of Emergency Situations has started to eliminate the consequences of the downpour and flooding.
On the eve of the flood, weather forecasters warned of a sharp deterioration in the weather in seven provinces in the northwest, west, and south of Turkey.
