A United Airlines Boeing 777 flight from Frankfurt to San Francisco was forced to turn back due to an overflowing toilet on board.
According to AviationSource, crew members attempted to fix the problem, but to no avail. UA59 departed Frankfurt at 13:43 local time and began its ascent towards San Francisco. After reaching the exit point from Amsterdam airspace, the aircraft performed a series of maneuvers.
As a result, the decision was made to return to Frankfurt, where a safe landing took place after approximately two hours in the air.
The reason for returning to San Francisco was a clogged toilet. It is noted that the contents of the toilet penetrated the cabin, creating an unpleasant odor for passengers. After this incident, the plane remained in Frankfurt for two more days. A couple of days later, the aircraft continued its delayed flight to San Francisco.
