AirAsia confirmed the incident in a statement to CNN Türk.
“AirAsia is aware of an incident on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Tawau on Thursday. As soon as the captain was informed, the plane was sent to Kuching for disinfection, “said the head of security at Liong Tien Ling.
A company spokesman added that people were not in danger: the snake did not crawl to the chairs. The passengers continued to Tawau the same day by another plane. At the same time, Ling noted that what happened is rare, but it happens.
“This is a very rare incident that can happen from time to time on any plane,” he explained.
