The Netherlands is cancelling the entry rules used to protect against COVID-19 for tourists from the Schengen area. Since March 23, travelers from the European Union can enter the country without restrictions, without presenting passports or certificates of vaccination, convalescence or PCR tests, reports Dip.org.ua with reference to SchengenVisaInfo.
The same rules apply for EU citizens arriving in the Netherlands from a third country.
For non-EU tourists, the entry protocol has been simplified, but some restrictions still remain. Travelers are now exempt from the requirement to present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 taken prior to arrival. However, you must have a valid vaccination passport or a certificate of recovery with you. The passport must prove that the traveler has had primary vaccination within the last nine months. The certificate, in turn, must confirm the recovery from coronavirus within the last six months.
In addition, travelers from third countries arriving in the Netherlands by air or sea must also complete a health declaration form.
The Netherlands also lifted the remaining domestic restrictions: wearing masks and checking vaccination status when visiting public places and events.
