The picturesque Alpine peak of Mont Blanc, which claims the lives of around a hundred mountain climbers each year, has been named the deadliest natural tourist attraction in the world.
To compile the latest tragic rating, the team from the travel company Holidu compared the average number of deaths and accidents in a given location with the number of visitors.
It is worth noting that most of the locations in the top 10 anti-rating are mountain peaks. Thus, the highest mountain in Scotland, Ben Nevis, took second place, the Japanese supervolcano Fuji was in third place, and the highest mountain in the world, Everest, was in fourth place. The highest stratovolcano in Africa, Kilimanjaro, closed the top five.
