The Israelis went to Antalya – such data was presented by the Turkish press. Therefore, experts named two reasons. Firstly, tourists who have previously booked a vacation and do not plan to cancel it continue to come to Turkey. Secondly, due to the mass cancellation of flights to Israel’s Ben-Gurion airport, Turkey, which has maintained flights 6-8 times a day, can become a transshipment point for residents of Israel.
“Citizens of Israel who booked a vacation spot in the tourist city of Antalya before the military operation did not cancel their vacations and continued to come to the resort. As planned, there will be 6-8 flights to the city every day,” the Turks reported.
In addition, they said, “some people who want to leave Israel” are using Antalya as a transit hub because of flight problems at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport. However, as the head of the Civil Border Administration of Antalya Airport, Suat Seitoglu, stated, there has been no increase in the number of planes arriving in Antalya since the conflict in Israel.
“The flights continue as previously planned. The number of flights from Israel is not increasing. As planned earlier, 6-8 flights are made per day,” he clarified.
