A tourist recorded on video using a computer webcam what a hotel employee was doing in his hotel room while he was away. The video, which received 3.2 million views, appeared on TikTok.
Arturo Brunello (Arturo Brunello) shared online the story that happened to him during his vacation in Cancun (Mexico). The man said that using the entry application, which turns a computer’s webcam into a security system with a motion sensor, he learned that his hotel room had been opened by a janitor. Further actions of the service personnel were also caught on video.
In the footage, a hotel employee drinks a can of beer from a mini-fridge, tries to open a safe, and starts rummaging through things in a closet. Later, the man reaches into the tourist’s backpack, which had been left on the table, and checks its contents. “Fortunately, he took only beer,” the author of the video said.
After the incident was reported, the hotel management immediately fired the employee.
