The 4,810-meter alpine peak of Mont Blanc, which claims the lives of approximately a hundred mountaineers every year, has been recognized as the deadliest natural tourist attraction in the world.
As Express writes, to compile a fresh tragic rating, the team of the travel company Holidu compared the average number of deaths and accidents at a particular location with the number of visitors.
It is worth noting that most of the locations in the top 10 anti-rating are mountain peaks. So, the highest mountain in Scotland, Ben Nevis, took second place, the Japanese supervolcano Fujiyama was in third place, and the highest mountain in the world, Everest, was in fourth place. Africa’s highest stratovolcano, Kilimanjaro, rounded out the top five.
