Hundreds of Russian cars blocked the border of North Ossetia with Georgia in an attempt to leave the country due to the announced mobilization. In just a few hours, a huge queue lined up, and this place also turned into a car market.
Georgian authorities opened a pedestrian checkpoint, prompting large numbers of people fleeing to try to get rid of their vehicles and cross the border on foot faster. Many drivers have posted ads on social media that they are willing to sell their cars along with their place in the convoy.
The owner of a BMW 328i, for example, said he was ready to part with his car for 1.5 million rubles. The man claims that he is 6 kilometers from the border itself, and at the current pace of movement of the column, it will reach the point in about a week. Subaru owner wants to do the same and sells his car for 400,000 rubles.
There are also car dealers at the border who are looking for people who are willing to part with their cars at a lower price. And the choice is huge – from Kia models to luxury Mercedes-Benz cars. In addition to them, offers for the sale of scooters and bicycles have also appeared on the Internet.
In turn, the authorities of North Ossetia announced that they were beginning to hand out summonses not only to residents, but also to those who stood in line to cross to Georgia.
