The Indonesian portal Kompas reports that from January 2 to April 17, 2023, 96 foreigners were deported from the island of Bali, including 23 citizens of the Russian Federation.
This was told by the head of the regional office of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Indonesia Angiat Napitupulu.
According to him, the most frequent violations committed by foreigners are being in Indonesia on an expired visa, misuse of residence permits, illegal work, and criminal offenses.
Previously, Napitupulu asked foreign nationals to abide by local laws and regulations while traveling or living in Bali.
