A huge number – 50 Russian tourists died in Turkey, although for different reasons – such figures were cited by the Russian ambassador to Turkey Oleksiy Yerkhov, speaking about the Russians who died in the resorts of this country in the first half of 2022.
According to the diplomat, the statistics are presented for the first six months of 2022: during this time, 50 of our compatriots died in ten accidents and other incidents.
Now that the dispute between foreign and Russian tourists in Turkey has escalated, that number may increase. The official gave the example of a recent violent fight between Polish and Russian tourists that took place in an Alanya hotel on July 13 (details here).
