The 99 worst and best attractions in the world were presented in their rating by the company Stasher, which owns a network of luggage storage cameras around the world, and the results turned out to be unexpected.
Analysts relied on the evaluation of tourists given in popular tourist aggregators, as well as some other criteria. Suffice it to say that the Parliament building in Budapest, a well-known symbol of the Hungarian capital, came first. And on the “worst” 99th place was the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
Reviews on Tripadvisor and Google, as well as the average rating on Booking.com, were used as selection criteria. In addition, when compiling the rating, criteria such as the number of mentions and views on social networks, distance from the nearest airport, and tourist safety according to the Global Peace Index rating of the host country were taken into account.
Overall, the top-ranked Hungarian Parliament building scored 7.34 out of 10, with researchers noting that 93.4% of its reviews on Tripadvisor are “very good” or “excellent” and the building’s TikTok video has been viewed 887 million times — and counting.
Second place was taken by Disneyland Paris with a score of 7.17 points, and the third place was the Blue Lagoon in Iceland – 7.15. Also in the top five are the Spanish Steps in Seville and Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The top ten also included St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome, El Ateneo Grand Splendid in Argentina, the Acropolis of Athens, the Museum of New Zealand and the famous statue of Jesus Christ in Brazil.
We will also list the “outsiders” of the rating. On the 99th place is, as already mentioned, the Hollywood “alley of stars”. It is adjacent to the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul, which took 98th place, and the Taj Mahal mausoleum in India, in 97th place.
