Thailand has temporarily closed all provinces previously accessible for tourism to foreign tourists, except Phuket. The kingdom authorities are considering the return of quarantine on entry for foreigners. This was stated by the Thai Foreign Ministry.
For example, registration for the Thailand Pass is temporarily closed as part of the Test & Go and Sandbox entry schemes (with the exception of the Phuket Sandbox).
The Test & Go entry scheme allowed fully vaccinated citizens of 63 countries to enter Thailand with two PCR tests – before entry and upon arrival.
According to the new rules, persons who have already received a Thailand Pass can enter Thailand. Anyone who has registered and is waiting for the application to be considered must await confirmation of the Thailand Pass and, if received, can enter in accordance with the approved measures.
Foreigners who have already entered the country or have received permission to travel to Thailand under the Test & Go and Sandbox scheme must do a second RT-PCR test (free of charge) at a location specified by the government.
Foreigners wishing to enter the Phuket Sandbox scheme should check in as usual.
