The network is discussing a traffic accident that happened due to a tarantula in Death Valley National Park in the USA; the park’s Instagram tells more about the situation.
Last Saturday, tourists from Switzerland were quietly moving around the area in a rented van when they suddenly had to brake to avoid running over a tarantula crossing the road on State Route 190.
As a result, a tourist from Canada riding a motorcycle crashed into them. He was transported by park ambulance to Desert View Hospital in Pahrump, Nevada, USA.
As the national park clarified, the spider remained unharmed. Facility employee Mike Reynolds asked all visitors to drive carefully around the area, especially on steep inclines.
The national park also recalled that tarantulas spend most of their long lives in underground burrows. People most often see them in the fall, when 8-10-year-old males leave their burrows in search of a mate. Tarantulas are sedentary and non-aggressive. According to reports, a tarantula’s bite is similar to a bee sting and is not fatal to humans.
