Heavy rains and storms could soon ruin tourists’ holidays in Hurghada and surrounding resorts – in the Red Sea province, the authorities are preparing intensively for the expected downpours.
The first rains had already fallen in the Red Sea province on Sunday, but it was “light and medium rains.” They were noted on the roads of Safaga – Kena, Hurghada – Ras Garib, Al-Zafarana and on the mountain range of the Red Sea.
“A state of emergency has been declared in the Red Sea governorate. The Red Sea Traffic Department published information on the road situation and the necessary measures taken on motorways, and stressed that drivers must follow traffic rules and not exceed the proposed speeds. The ports have also taken the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of navigation signs at the entrances and exits of ports, as well as monitoring the meteorological department for maritime safety,” – said the Egyptian media.
Also, special services have been set up in each city of the province to monitor the situation with the rains. They are also responsible for providing cities with the necessary vehicles if necessary.
