Dozens of flights have been canceled or delayed due to the sharp deterioration of weather conditions at British airports. In the greater part of Britain these days – heavy snowfall, ice, and poor visibility.
As the BBC reports, more than 50 flights were canceled at Heathrow airport only on Sunday, December 11. Passengers were warned that problems are expected throughout Sunday.
Stansted Airport has announced a complete shutdown – the runway has become too dangerous for use. Flights are also canceled and delayed at Gatwick Airport.
Due to bad weather, there are also delays on the railways.
