The Associated Press news agency reports that a number of areas in Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro suffered from snowfalls, as a result of which power outages began. The bad weather also caused a lot of car accidents on the roads.
So, in Ljubljana (Slovenia), snowfall and strong winds knocked down trees and cut off power lines. For security reasons, the authorities have banned the movement of trucks in the country, and citizens and tourists have been advised to refrain from any travel.
In neighboring Croatia, due to snowfall, ferries stopped working. In Zagreb, scaffolding erected in the center for reconstruction collapsed.
A number of settlements in Montenegro, especially in the mountains, faced the problem of lack of electricity due to heavy snowfalls.
