By 2027, Seoul will have a new attraction: the city plans to make the world’s tallest Ferris wheel without spokes – the Seoul Ring. Cabins will rise to 180 meters.
The wheel will be built in Haneul Park in the city’s northeast. The location was not chosen by chance: the park is in a picturesque place near the Han River, offering beautiful views of the city, not far from the World Cup Stadium in Seoul. In addition, according to the city authorities, they decided to install the new wheel as close as possible to the northern border of the country – this is a symbolic gesture of striving for national unity and a united Korea.
The Seoul Ring will have 36 booths, each of which will accommodate up to 25 people. When the wheel is fully operational, it will be able to accommodate up to 11,792 people per day. Construction will begin in 2025 and is expected to be completed by 2027.
