For several months, security specialists at Miami Airport in the United States quietly stole hand luggage that passengers submitted for scanning before departure.
They put the stolen goods into the pockets of their work jackets right in front of the travelers, BILD reports.
The thieves were identified due to the fact that it was during their shifts that passengers complained about losing money from wallets or small items.
The crimes were also recorded on video cameras. Both men were detained. They admitted that they stole up to $1,000 per shift.
Law enforcement officials said two officers were captured on security cameras in June allegedly stealing a total of approximately $600 in cash from passengers as they passed through security at Miami airport's Terminal E pic.twitter.com/GEZpD3R4uX
