The airliner of the British low-cost EasyJet could not take off due to the load. To solve this problem, the captain of the aircraft asked some of the passengers to voluntarily leave the flight. This was reported by the British publication Independent.
An unusual incident occurred on a flight departing from Lanzarote Airport in the Canary Islands to Liverpool this week. When all the passengers had already taken their seats, the pilot made an unexpected announcement and said that the plane was “quite heavy today” and would not be able to take off due to adverse weather conditions and a short runway.
“If possible, I would ask up to 20 potential volunteers to prefer not to fly to Liverpool tonight,” the crew chief politely addressed the passengers.
He warned that he has already discussed the problem with the airline’s management, and anyone who voluntarily leaves the board will be able to change the ticket for the next flight without extra charge, and will also receive 500 euros in compensation. As a result, 19 people agreed to leave on a later flight.
Unusual flight incidents are the latest news
By the way, this is not the first ridiculous incident that easyJet has been involved in. Yes, a young Briton was mistakenly banned for 10 years from flying this company’s planes. As it turned out, the boy was simply confused with another person who had previously had sex on the plane.
In addition, DIP recently wrote that they did not want to let an American woman on the plane because she has a “too hot” photo in her passport. In the end, the girl was still able to fly home, but pleased the public with this story.
