According to the ABC television channel, the ignition of a laptop in the cabin led to an emergency landing of a Lufthansa aircraft in Chicago (USA).
The liner was flying from Los Angeles to Frankfurt (Germany) when, due to overheating, the laptop of one of the passengers caught fire. The crew chief decided to request an emergency landing at the nearest airport as a precautionary measure.
Luckily, the fire had already been extinguished by the time we landed. The situation did not affect the safety of the flight, but two flight attendants were treated on the spot due to smoke poisoning.
