Dozens of tourists from the UK almost burned out during a fire on a wooden ship on the high seas and were caught on video. Footage from the Greek island of Rhodes is published by the Daily Mail.
It is reported that the incident happened 300 meters from Stenga beach in the city of Archangelos. The travelers were going to go snorkeling (scuba diving at shallow depths), but their wooden ship suddenly caught fire.
The passengers of the ship began to jump into the sea with their children, as the fire quickly engulfed the entire ship.
The Greek Coast Guard said all tourists were rescued and made it to shore safely before the ship burned down and sank. They were taken to hotels by bus.
“Later, the police came for everyone and took us away to testify. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but my nine-year-old son was very scared,” said one of the participants in the event, Shaun Williams.
