According to The Local, Denmark, Sweden and Norway are preparing for storm Babet.
Thus, the south of Denmark has already suffered from bad weather – flooding has begun there, but the storm will only intensify today until the end of the day and tomorrow. In a number of areas, roads were blocked and trees were knocked down due to flooding. Local meteorologists have introduced a “very dangerous” threat level.
Forecasters fear the storm could be the worst in 100 years.
In Norway, ferries have been suspended and several bridges have been closed, including the Hardanger Bridge in the southwest of the country.
In southern Sweden, bus and train traffic on a number of routes was limited today.
Storm Babet previously hit Ireland and Scotland.
