A popular “winter” country has been named, where the number of tourists fell by 90% in a month and continues to fall. And this, as expected, turned out to be Israel. According to the Travel&Tour publication, since October, tourists have preferred to “stay away” from the destination for obvious reasons.
As a result, a sharp decline has been recorded in the direction since October. As experts note, since the first days of the conflict, there have been problems with flights to and from Israel, from October 7 to 19, more than 40% of flights were canceled. As a result, in October, tourist activity in the country decreased by 76% compared to the past. And the drop to 90% occurred only after the first week of October – the last week of peace.
Thus, according to the monthly report of the Israel Bureau of Statistics, about 89,700 tourists visited Israel in October. Last year, 370,000 tourists visited the country in the same month.
In November, the figure became even lower. If in 2022, 370,000 tourists came to Israel, then this year, only 38,000 will come this month. At the same time, the high Christmas season is ahead, but Israel, like it, may not expect it either.
