Police in the Bahamas has launched an investigation into the deaths of the tourists. The latest reason was a 70-year-old American tourist who was found dead at the resort of Exuma. The main mystery is that three more tourists died at the same resort in May, the official conclusion is carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to CBS News, police said the tourist complained of shortness of breath on Saturday. The tourist underwent a covid test, which gave a positive result for COVID. After that, the tourist received quarantine instructions in his room, where he died. The tourist’s body was taken to the city of Nassau, where authorities will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
At the same time, the media reported that earlier three American tourists died at a resort on the island of Great Exuma. The tragedy happened in early May, three tourists Michael and Robbie Phillips from Tennessee and Vincent Chiarella from Florida were found dead in their villas at Sandals Emerald Bay Resort. A fourth tourist, Chiarella’s wife, Donis, was found in critical condition and taken to a Florida hospital where she recovered. The official cause is carbon monoxide poisoning. After the tragedy, the hotel management announced that it would install carbon monoxide detectors in all rooms.
